ServiceSnap ("we", "our", "us") is a vehicle maintenance tracking application developed for Australian vehicle owners. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use ServiceSnap:

• Account Information: Email address and password (managed via Firebase Authentication).
• Vehicle Data: Vehicle make, model, year, registration, odometer readings, VIN, fuel type, and vehicle photos you choose to upload.
• Service Records: Service history, fuel records, parts inventory, and associated costs.
• Reminders: Service reminders, registration expiry dates, and motorcycle gear expiry data.
• Receipts and Attachments: Photos and PDF files you upload as receipts or documentation.
• Device Information: Push notification tokens (FCM tokens) and platform type (iOS/Android) for delivering notifications.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide and maintain the ServiceSnap application and its features.
• Send you push notifications and email reminders about upcoming services, registration renewals, and gear expiry.
• Store and display your vehicle records, receipts, and maintenance history.
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using the following services:

• Firebase (Google Cloud): Account authentication, database (Firestore), and push notifications.
• Cloudflare R2: Receipt images and file attachments are stored securely using signed URLs with time-limited access.

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). We do not store your password directly; authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.

5. Camera and Photo Access

ServiceSnap requests camera permission to allow you to:

• Take photos of receipts and attach them to service, fuel, or parts records.
• Take and set photos of your vehicles.

Photos are only captured and uploaded when you explicitly choose to do so. We do not access your camera or photo library in the background.

6. Notification Permission

We request notification permission to send you timely reminders about:

• Upcoming and overdue service reminders.
• Vehicle registration expiry.
• Motorcycle safety gear replacement dates.

You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers. Your data is only shared with the third-party infrastructure providers listed in Section 4, solely for the purpose of operating the application.

8. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at the email address below.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Withdraw consent for notifications at any time.

If you are an Australian resident, you may also have rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

ServiceSnap is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
